Access to electric vehicle (EV) charging will be an important feature that owners and tenants will be looking for as EV adoption continues to grow. Access to home charging while your EV is parked is not only convenient but can be extremely cheap. It’s no secret that access to any form of EV charging can be challenging, particularly within an apartment environment. Potential upgrading of meters and infrastructure, billing of common property power usage not to mention owners corporation approval and obstacles.

A dedicated EV Charging switchboard has been installed in the basement carpark with individual switches to each apartments meter. This means, no billing issues or restriction on charging times. You pay your own electricity rate, on your own bill, just like any other appliance. Many residents have taken up the option to have wiring drawn through to their individual stacker location so it can eventually be connected to an EV charger when they are ready. The project was completed in June 2024.

While each lot owner will be responsible for wiring from this EV electrical board to their stacker tray, but the Owners Corporation will be happy to assist and ensure that we have a consistent and safe setup.
